#Rainbow25 was a hashtag used to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Mariah Carey's seventh studio album, Rainbow, released in 1999.
Background[]
The hashtag was teased by Carey for the first time on May 24, 2024 in a quote to a fan page's post on X about the releases and other events happening in the week ending on May 26, 2024.[1]
On May 31, 2024, Rainbow-themed merchandise was made available for purchase on Carey's official Amazon Store to celebrate the start of Pride month.[2]
On June 12, 2024, Carey posted a video on social media announcing the start of #Rainbow25, which is set to begin on Friday, June 14, 2024.[3]

- May 31: The 2024 Pride merch collection was made available on Amazon.
- June 14: Rainbow: 25th Anniversary Expanded Edition was released. Rainbow was remastered in Dolby Atmos on Apple Music. The exclusive rainbow picture disc vinyl was made available for purchase on Carey's Amazon store.
- June 18: A video of Carey singing the "Heartbreaker" background vocals a cappella was posted on social media.
