Olivia Newton-John (September 26, 1948- August 8, 2022) was an British-Australian singer, actress and activist. She has collaborated with Mariah Carey on her live performances of her original song "Hopelessly Devoted To You."

Newton passed away from breast cancer complications in August 2022.

Relationship with Mariah

Mariah collaborated with Olivia on the cover of "Hopelessly Devoted To You" during the Melbourne show of The Butterfly World Tour in February 1998. She also sung the song with Carey at a Z100 event in May 1998. In 2000, she presented Mariah with the Special Achievement Award at the American Music Awards. In 2015, she sung a snippet of "Hopelessly Devoted To You" with Carey in Las Vegas.
