#MusicBox30 is a hashtag used to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Music Box album.

Background

On August 19, 2023, the "Dreamlover" and "Without You" music videos were remastered in 4K and HD, respectively, three years after "Dreamlover" was upscaled in HD as part of #MC30. On August 31, 2023, the album's 30th anniversary, Carey posted a video montage with footage from the era on social media, officially kicking off the #MusicBox30 celebrations.

Releases

• August 19: The "Dreamlover" and "Without You" music videos was remastered in 4K and HD, respectively.
• August 31: Four Music Box-themed merch items were made available for purchase on Carey's online store: the Music Box Cassette (though it was soon taken down), the Music Box 30 Speaker and a Dreamlover Tee, in both white and pink.
• September 3: An a cappella snippet of a previously unreleased song from the Music Box sessions was posted by Carey on X. The snippet turned out to be an ad lib on the bridge of "Workin' Hard."
• September 6: The tracklist for the new anniversary edition of Music Box was unveiled.
• September 8: Music Box: 30th Anniversary Edition was released. Music Box was remastered in Dolby Atmos on Apple Music. The 4 LP and 3 CD expanded versions of the album, as well as the Music Box Cassette, were made available for purchase on Carey's online store. Lyric videos for "Without You," "My Prayer," "Dreamlover, "Hero," the extended version of "Anytime You Need a Friend" and the new "I've Been Thinking About You" remix were posted on Carey's YouTube channel. The performance of "Without You" live on Top of the Pops from December 1994 was also posted on Carey's YouTube channel.
• September 11: Lyric videos for both original and remix versions of "Workin' Hard" were posted on Carey's YouTube channel.
• September 12: The Behind The Scenes of Dreamlover mini documentary premiered on YouTube.
• September 14: "Mariah Carey's Music Box Then & Now," an animated explainer video offering insight into the making of the album, was posted on Carey's YouTube channel.
