In an interview on the Wendy Williams Show, Bolton talked about the collaboration with Carey. He stated that Tommy Mottola contacted him about doing a song with her and he agreed.[1] They performed the song We're Not Makin' Love Anymore live at the 1990 NARM Convention.[source?] This collaboration was Mariah's first debut performance.
