- Fans noted that some teasers for the special had been dubbed with studio versions instead of the vocals recorded live, which prompted Kahn to speak out on Twitter, stating that the promos "had studio tracks over them because the live recordings were still being mixed."[1]
- According to Kahn, Carey "stayed up three days straight to supervise the mix."[2]
