Luther Ronzoni Vandross Jr. (born April 20, 1951 – July 1, 2005) was a celebrated R&B singer whose velvet-smooth voice led him to become one of the premier balladeers of the 1980s and '90s. Vandross and Carey collaborated on a cover of Lionel Richie's classic "Endless Love," which was released in 1994.[1]
