Lionel Richie (born June 20, 1949) is an American singer, songwriter, and producer. Richie toured with Carey during the 2017 "All the Hits Tour."[1]

- Richie and Carey have been involved in significant charity singles—Richie co-wrote "We Are the World" with Michael Jackson for USA for Africa, and Carey has her philanthropic anthem "Hero" and her involvement in charity work. Carey performed the song "We Are the World" with a group of other singers at Pavarotti and Friends in 1999.
