On November 18th, 2020 it was announced that Mariah would be a releasing a soundtrack to accompany her AppleTV+ original, Mariah Carey's Magical Christmas Special. This soundtrack would feature “brand new interpretations” of hit holiday songs, including a new version of “Sleigh Ride,” and a new remix for the song "Oh Santa!."[2] On December 4, 2020, the soundtrack was released. It featured an interlude to "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing."
