Background[]

Fans reception[]

Many fans consider Daydream Era as being Mariah's best era vocally. Mariah's voice can be described as having a lot of clarity and resonance during this time period. Many also praise this era because of Mariah's usage of her upper belting register (especially in songs such as Hero and Make it Happen). When it comes to performances of "Hero" during this time period, Mariah included A G5 belt. Her performances of "Make it Happen" would include a series of F#5 belts.

Despite being highly controversial, Many fans consider the end of Daydream Era to be the end of Mariah's vocal "prime."

The official Mariah Carey Wiki daydream era logo.

On August 2, 2020, a logo for Daydream Era was created by the administration team of Mariah Carey Wiki. The logo is centered around the theme of fantasy and loneliness. In the logo, a girl in a green dress is sitting on the swings of a tree. The idea of including a swing in this logo was inspired by the Always Be My Baby music video. The rest of the logo has aspects from the administration team's perception of the song Underneath the Stars. The scene of the logo is set at a beach during the night time. The girl in green dress is looking up at the stars and moon. This scene not only gives a sense of solitude but also tranquility and warmth.
