"Cool on You" is the eleventh track of Mariah's eight compilation album, The Rarities.[1] The song was written by Mariah Carey, Jermaine Dupri, Manuel Seal, Jr. and Johntá Austin. It was released on October 2, 2020 through Columbia and Legacy Records.

On September 9, 2020 Mariah revealed the track-listing for her compilation album, The Rarities.[2] "Cool on You" was listed as the eleventh track.
Within the booklet of The Rarities, there is a short blurb on each song. The passage on “Cool On You” says:
