Clarence was a childhood cat owned by Mariah Carey. In The Meaning of Mariah Carey, Mariah described him as being the "O.G. Clarence of Centerport SWYWT (Shit Where You Want To) my friend (heart)."[1]

- Mariah had this cat since the third grade. Patricia had Clarence for a long time and Mariah took him back after he became sick.[2]
- When he was really young Mariah would lay him down and walk away for ten minutes and he would still be in the same position[2]
- He was very relaxed[2]

Death[]
Clarence's epitaph reads: "My eternal friend and guardian angel you’ll always be a part of me forever. Love –M.”
Clarence died in 1997. He is buried at the Hartsdale Pet Cemetery in New York City[5]
