All I Live For is the fifth track from Mariah's eight compilation album, The Rarities. The song was written and produced by Mariah and Walter Afanasieff and was released on October 2, 2020 through Columbia and Legacy Records.
An extended version of the song will be released on September 8, 2023, as part of the Music Box (Expanded Digital Album) which is a part of the Music Box 30 celebration.

The song was was penned and produced by Carey and Walter Afanasieff. It was originally intended for Mariah's third studio album, Music Box but the reason why it was scrapped is unknown. The song was left unfinished until it was found again.[1]
On September 9, 2020 Mariah revealed the track-listing for the compilation album, The Rarities.[2] On the album, "All I Live For" was listed as the fifth track.
Within the booklet of The Rarities, there is a short liner note for each song.[3] The quote for 'All I Live For" reads:
